Nominee Tips • Be excited about your product and convey that excitement to the judge. • Keep in mind that the judge is very interested in products in your category and is looking for what works with students or colleagues. • Explain in the simplest terms what the product does. Assume that the judge knows nothing about the product unless the judge tells you otherwise. • Tell how it is different from similar products. • List how the product can be used by including classroom levels and situations, types of devices on which it will work, and whether it is available for home use.

12. Nominee Tips • Don't try to show everything about the product. Pick out the important options. • Don't go over the time limit unless the judge asks for additional information. You can always email information to the judge. • Explain to the judge how to get access to the content after the demo.  • If there are any outside research studies or evaluations related to the product, let the judge know how to find these. • Have fun with the demo. Let the judge have fun with it as well. Make sure the judge learns something, just like students would.

13. Finalist Selection • Judges use rubric to score product. • Total score accounts for 80% of a nominated product’s overall score. • All nominees will be notified via email. • Nominees can request a copy of the judges’ written feedback
