  2. Question 1 Question: When invited to dinner by a madrileño, you can expect: • Early Bird Special • Reservations at 11:00 • Appetizers at 1 a.m. • What the heck is a “madrileno”? Conversation (table in foreground): • Woman: Can you recommend a seafood dish and wine pairing. • Man: My personal favorite is the chiringuito seafood paella served with the Tapena Tempranillo.  Fact: • Verdejo is Spain’s version of a Sauvignon Blanc • Quick tapas: Steamed mussels drizzled with vinaigrette and sprinkled with diced red, green and yellow bell peppers. Piropo (table of two): • Man: With that you show…plus that I imagine; I have enough. • Woman: (Blushing) Well, I though we might go out to a disconthéque later tonight. Animations: • Bartender pouring wine from bottle into glass; Man picking up and sipping wine; Woman eating food from plate

Question 2 Question: When cooking paella, you want to include: • Rice, mussles, clams and fish • Jalapeños and lots of anti-acids • Tortillas, rice, fried beans and sour cream • Plenty of parmesan cheese Conversation (table with two girls on right): • Girl: There’s an el botellon over in Plaza Mayor tonight. Do you want to go? • Girl: Sure! I’ll pick up some Tapena Garnacha. Fact: • Seafood paella is one of Madrid’s most popular dishes and pairs perfectly with Tapena Rose. • Take a paseo, or a leisurely stroll,around Puerto del Sol to enjoy Madrid’s historical district and culture. Piropo (Couple in foreground): • Man: Oh! If you could cook like you walk, I would eat scraps! • Woman: Hmmm – well, since I don’t cook, why don’t we go over to Museo de Jamon for some tapas instead? I hear they have Velazques’s “Las Meninas” painting on exhibit. • Woman: This Tapena Rose is so enjoyable after our paseo through Plaza Mayor • Man: It is. The fresh cherry and strawberry flavors and crisp acidity is very refreshing.   Fact: • A chiringuito is a great place to grab a quick snack during siesta. • Tapena wines are sourced from Tierra de Castilla, a wine region south of Madrid.  Animations: • Eating and drinking wine; Small body movements (foot or hand moving) • Waiter coming out of store front

Where does it come from? • 2nd Woman: The Tierra de Castilla wine region, just south of Madrid.   Fact: • (Picture of bullfighting ring) La Fiesta Nacional is a day of celebration in Madrid, and includes parades, bullfighting, and events. • Quick Tapas: Dates stuffed with almonds, Cabrales cheese, chorizo, wrapped in baked and baked until crisp.  Animations: • Outside lighting turns to dusk – chandelier turns on and casts glow over dining area; People drinking wine and eating food; Small body movements (arms moving, feet tapping, etc). • Waiter walking back towards table;

Fact bubbles: • Siesta is a tradition of escaping the mid-day heat of Madrid by taking a relaxing break. • Tapena Tempranillo is Spain’s quintessential red wine, with rich, bold blend of fruit, earth and structure. Piropo • Man: If beauty were a crime, you would deserve life in prison. • Woman: You deserve life in prison for that line. Disco isn’t even a Spanish word Conversation: • Woman: The Tapena Garnacha is great after spending time on the dance floor. • Man: Yah, after so much dancing, it’s the perfect refresher. Piropo (couple on balcony): • Man: You move like the Bolshoi Ballet! • Woman: Thanks! Let’s head over to the bar – I’m parched! Facts: • Be sure to enjoy a long siesta in the late evening before heading out at 11pm for a night on the town. Animations • Movement on the dance floor – arms and legs moving to simulate dancing; Lights moving throughout dancers; People drinking wine; Twinkling of lights in the background
