Hierarchy of cigarette • 1000 BC People start using the leaves of the tobacco plant for smoking and chewing. • How and why tobacco was first used no one knows. • Many civilizations burnt incense during religious rituals, which was later adopted for pleasure or as a social tool • In the ancient periods Kings used smoke in order to show their royalty • 1832 First paper rolled cigarette. It is widely believed that the first paper rolled cigarettes were made by Egyptian soldiers fighting the Turkish-Egyptian war. • 1914 Outbreak of World War I sees cigarette rations introduced. Smoking hugely popular with soldiers in battlefields of northern Europe and cigarettes became known as 'soldier's smoke'.

  4. Active Smokers Active Smokers are the person who usually smoke the cigarette intake the Nicotine and other toxic substances. Passive Smokers Passive smoking is the inhalation of smoke, called secondhand smoke (SHS) or environmental tobacco smoke (ETS), from tobacco products used by others.

Causes and health issues of cigarette smoking • Tobacco smoking strongly increases the risk of developing • cancer of the lung • oral cavity (mouth), pharynx, larynx, oesophagus, pancreas, bladder and renal pelvis (the kidney outlet). • It also increases the risk of cancers of the nasal cavities (nose) and sinuses • stomach, liver, kidney, cervix (neck of the uterus) • Bone marrow (myeloid leukaemia).

Measures to save our earth from smoke effect • So, awareness camp should be conducted. • Cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke. • Smoke only half of each cigarette. • Each day, postpone lighting your first cigarette 1 hour. • Decide you'll smoke only during odd or even hours of the day. • Decide beforehand how many cigarettes you'll smoke during the day. • Have a Chewing gum rather than Smoking. . Note: It is a common belief among cigarette smokers that they are only hurting themselves. In fact they are not only hurting themselves, but also the people who love them and the environment.
