Strategic planning • First plan: 2004 – 2010, second plan: 2011 – 2021 • Idea: analyze – identify – design – propose – network • Principles: extensive participation, effective organizational structure, general consensus on the priorities • Some figures: 3.600+ participants, 30+ Meetings, 6 priorities, 27 Strategic goals, 71 Operational goals, 514 Projects in the data base (web tool for project development designed internally)

  4. Implementation • Ranking: on line • Selection : on line and workshops • Partnership building • Outputs: 3 year activity plan with 60 projects, 1 year action plan with 18 projects • Never-ending process: existing implementing structures( commission, evaluation & monitoring boards), procedures and tools

  5. Challenges • High expectations Vs available resources • Prioritization and selection – why not mine project? • Partnership building – ownership and responsibility
