Martin Luther King Jr. Principles of Non-Violence • Treat others with love • Do not return violence for violence • Self-Defense id nonexistent; it only fuels violence and represents what non-violence is against • Must be willing to die and suffer for your cause • Is an act of the mind; weak people should not partake in or they will seem like hypocrites • It takes a stronger person to not partake in non-violence and to control their anger • The law of the land is life and can only be achieved through love which brings life not hatred which destroys life
