  6. Entry Requirements (1) Minimum General, English and Second Language requirements E.g. HKU GENERAL: • IB Diploma • Merit or above in BTEC National Level 3 Diploma and Subsidiary Diploma (if ID student) ENGLISH: • Grade C – IGCSE English Language – First Language OR Grade B – IGCSE English Language – Second Language • Grade 4 in IB English (HL) or Grade 5 in SL (if IB Diploma student) SECOND LANGUAGE: • Grade E – IGCSE in any language other than English • Grade 4 – IB in any language other than English (if IB Diploma student)

  7. Entry Requirements (2) Preferred/specific subject requirements Some unis indicate preferred subject(s) for some degree courses. CHECK WITH THE FACULTY. E.g. CUHK and preferred IB subjects • Faculty of Medicine Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery – IB Chemistry (HL) & Biology (HL), with overall total not less than 40 IB pts (not counting the EE/TOK pts) and at least 6,7,7 in the three HL subjects. • Faculty of Business Administration Global Economics and Finance – good grade in IB Maths (HL/SL) – not Math Studies • Faculty of Education BA (English Studies) and Bed (English Language Education) – good grade in IB English (HL) With ID applicants check with faculty and undergraduate admission office for BTEC requirements.

APPLICATION TIMELINE – Non-JUPAS applicants SEPT-DEC 2014 • Attend Uni Open Days • Create online application account • Complete application and get it checked by Careers staff before submission NOV 2014-JUNE 2015 Interview invitation (can be at very short notice). Most Fast track decisions in Jan. Regular decision from March- Aug. Non-refundable deposits paid to secure place. JULY 2015 Programme Registration AUGUST 2015 University Orientation Programmes SEPTEMBER 2015 Commencement of 2015-2016 academic year
