  2. George washington carver was born on January 1864. He was an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. Scientist believed he was born into slavery in Missouri in January 1864.

  3. Carver's reputation is based on his research into and cotton, such as promotion of alternative crops to peanuts, soybeans and sweet potatoes, which also aided nutrition for farm families.
