  4. Before Convergence :- Estimated Amount : Rs. 1500=00 DW&S Dept. : Rs. 1200=00 Beneficiary Contribution : Rs. 300=00

  5. Convergence of NBA with MGNREGA • Provision of Individual Household Latrine to identified Above Poverty Line (APL) households restricted to all SCs/STs, Small and Marginal Farmers, Landless Labourers with Homestead, Physically Handicapped and Women Headed Households, and all BPL families • Financial Provision to eligible categories of upto Rs 10,000 • Rs 4600 NBA, Rs 4500 MNREGS & Rs. 900 Beneficiary Contribution. • Convergence with MNREGS of upto 20 mandays for unskilled and 6 skilled man-days.

NBA Convergence Work details • Total Target of Individual Household Toilets - 33000 Units • No of works taken up under Convergence – 8875 (as on 11th Sep 2013) • Type/Category of work taken up – Construction of Individual HHs Toilets • Participating Programme/Department – Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan of Dept. DW&S and Gram Panchayat • No. of work Started – about 2000 Units • No of works completed – Physically about 450 Toilets have been completed

  8. Financial Performance :- Total Available Amount : 37.44 Crore Expenditure ( Upto Aug 2013 ) : 18.75 Crore Expenditure in Convergence with NBA : 1.10 Crore Aprox.

ISSUES • Huge number of works-cluster approach is difficult • MB for Individual schemes • Multiple designs based on beneficiaries idea and work sites • Beneficiary contribution is more- Being considered as assets • No name/scheme board- IEC fund of NBA may be used • Poor Internet connectivity and slow website

  12. Future Planning • All schools/anganwadis to be covered with toilet units • Community Toilets under NBA • Pit for Waste Water from Hand Pumps in Villages • Small ponds for large water discharge areas with fishery and other activities • Solid Waste Management for Rural areas
