  1. Acadia Junior HighOnline IntranetRoom and EquipmentBooking System System Designed by: Kevin Rowan Fort Richmond Collegiate PowerPoint Designed by: Jo-Anne Gibson

  2. Purpose Short and long term bookings of: All computer labs (101, 102, 111) Library Library computers AV equipment Frank, Phil and Jo-Anne will look after long term bookings before school starts in September. Other long terms bookings throughout the year can be made by them or by individual teachers. Individual teachers will look after short term bookings.

  3. Online Intranet Location: acnet

  4. Place the URL: http://acnet in “Favorites” or create a desktop icon by going to: File-Send-Shortcut to Desktop

  5. To Access Site • Account = same as email (currently it’s “teacher”) • Password = “acadia” (you will be able to change your password after accessing the system)

  6. Changing Password Select “Change Password”

  7. Enter New Password

  8. Booking a lab or library Select desired location

  9. Navigating the Calendar • The page will open up with the calendar pointing at the current week. • Clicking a date in another week will change the week highlighted in the calendar. Change months by clicking the Previous (<) and Next (>) links beside the month’s name.

  10. The highlighted dates in the calendar are displayed in the booking table on the right. • Make sure you are booking the lab, library or equipment on the date you intended to book.

  11. Select the dates and classes you want to book, add your name and course and click “submit.” It’s that easy!

  12. Booking AV Equipment • Same as booking a room: select a date, select a period(s), add your name and course and click “submit.”

  13. Navigating Between Pages There are links for each of the labs, library and equipment booking pages at the bottom of the calendar to move easily from page to page. You may book the labs/equipment for several different times all at once.

  14. Booking the Library • When you make a booking for the library or library computers, Jo-Anne will automatically be notified via email. This gives her a chance to collaborate, if desired. • Booking for the reading area of the library and computers in the library is separate. If you want the entire library, you will have to book this in two places – library and library computers. If you only check off the library, we are making the assumption that it is okay for another class or other students to use the library computers and vice versa.

  15. Ethical Use of the System • Please remember to cancel your booking online if you are not going to be using the room or the equipment. • To delete your own booking, simply click on it. You cannot delete another teacher’s booking! • To cancel a long term booking(s), email Jo-Anne, Frank or Phil who will do it for you. Please remember to return all equipment promptly for the next teacher’s use.

  16. For further technical support or assistance, please see Jo-Anne, Frank or Phil A copy of this PowerPoint will be sent to all teachers in the fall. Your feedback is welcome!
