  1. Why You Need Air Suspension for Your Performance Ride A major change in performance suspension has entered the performance, race car scene. Air springs are currently replacing traditional metal suspension springs. This new technology in air suspension is usually controlled by sophisticated air compressors and self-leveling electronics. The New Age of Suspension Similar to the suspension on big 18-wheel tractor trailers, an air suspension replaces conventional springs. Conventional coil-spring suspensions are the easiest to upgrade. The airbags slip right into place of the original coil springs and often bolt right to bolt-in brackets you can purchase from aftermarket manufacturers.
