  2. Training Day to Race Day On a training day I biked 50 miles in 3 hours. But my race is not 50 miles it is 56 miles I want to know how long it will take me to bike the 56 miles during the race.

  3. Using proportions

  4. Answer: • It should take me about 3.36 hours to complete the 56 miles in the race.

  5. Work Day at the Lodge! We were putting up new paneling on a brick wall when were renovating the basement at our ski lodge. At first we just wanted to panel just one wall but we had extra paneling so we thought we might be able to panel two walls. So we needed to figure out if we had enough paneling to cover all of the second wall. The first wall took 5 sheets of paneling and was 60 feet long. The second wall is 50 feet long.

  6. Using proportions

  7. Answer: • We will need to have at least 5 more panels to cover the second wall.
