  4. Different World • No modern medicine, it was common to see blind and crippled people every where • Jews often felt that sickness was a punishment. They treated sickness as the manifestation of evil, aka the devil. • Jews believed that the Reign of God would not be present until all evil was overcome… • THAT IS WHY THE EVANGELISTS TOLD US ABOUT JESUS’ MIRACLES

  6. What do Miracles teach us? • We can see the wonder of God in all creation • We can see that much suffering and pain is the result of sin and evil AND….

  7. GOOD beats EVIL 999,000,000,000 to 0

  8. WHY did Jesus Perform Miracles? • Because actions speak louder than words • Love was the motivator, not trying to impress the crowds. • He healed because people needed healing • He healed out of compassion • He wanted to show God’s POWER over the earth and evil.

  9. Healing and Restoration of Life Miracles Teach Us….. In people’s suffering, in their pain and even in death Jesus HEALS and RESTORES LIFE.

  10. Exorcism Miracles teach us.. The extent of God’s POWER. Through Jesus, God can confront sin in its most direct form and CONQUER it. Go Team Jesus!
