  2. About project partners • More than 21 years IPS d.o.o. is a synonym for-innovation • -penetrating marketing • -flexibility-rationality • We are engaged in development, production and marketing of telecommunication equipment. We are selling our products to the world market. • Vedas d.o.o. is IPS’s a long term R&D partner. • They are focused on realization of Ethernet and ATM protocols in programmable integrated circuits (FPGA) with low power consumption. Such technology enables our systems to be remotely powered.

  3. Project description • MiniMSAN is remotely powered, passively cooled, multiservice access node (MSAN) with optical link, POTS and ADSL2+ connections. The result of the project is a family of telecommunication devices with telemanagement support: -EMX-M40-EMX-M44-EMX-M80-EMX-M84-EMX-I40 • MiniMSAN makes shortening of the local loop easy and by this way provides Triple Play services (TV, fast Internet, VoIP telephony) for end customers. Also provides possibility for effective replacement of old subscriber PCM systems. • MiniMSAN is a very cost effective solution for building-up Broadband networks (copper of mixed fiber/copper) also in suburban and rural areas where telcos so far did not recognize any economical interest for Broadband deployment. MiniMSAN thus helps do bridge the digital divide.

  4. Project results • MiniMSAN EMX-M44 already has type approval from Telekom Slovenia and some other operaters in the region. Type approvals are pending also in Deutsche Telekom group, France Telecom (Orange labs) and some other telcos worldwide.l • In the network of Telekom Slovenia there are already some hundreds subscribers connected over MiniMSAN systems enjoying full Dual Play and Triple Play services. • MiniMSAN EMX-M44 was in October 2010 nominated for prestigious Infovision Award in the framework of Broadband World Forum in Paris. In 2011 IPS was nominated with MiniMSAN for “Best Network Infrastructure Vendor” within TelecomsWorld, Middle East conference in Dubai.
