  2. How To Make CBD Oil? Right, so here we are going to discuss how to make CBD oil at home, but first, a quick warning from us. Don’t. Obviously, it’s your call. However, if you are considering CBD extraction at home, we will ask you to please, resist that urge. This is because, unless you have access to a kitted out lab, in the best-case scenario, you’ll end up with poor quality CBD, and in the worst case, you may well burn down your shed. That being said, we are here to provide information, so that’s what we’re going to do.

  3. CBD Extraction Methods • There are four common extraction methods when it comes to CBD. • The Solvent Extraction method offers low potency CBD, and uses very flammable materials. • The CO2 Extraction method comes in three forms, with supercritical being the most popular. This is the best method for safe and high-quality CBD oil, but involves very expensive equipment and a lab. • The Olive Oil Extraction method is a popular home extraction method, but isn’t great either, resulting in low-quality CBD oil which is very perishable. • Then there’s the Dry Ice Extraction method, which sounds cool, but needs a science degree and a lot of equipment to create low quality oil. • For a more in-depth look at CBD extraction methods, we have an article here that’ll give you all the information (and a solid Popeye joke).

  4. Making CBD Products at Home • Now, we’re not saying you can’t get creative, there are certainly ways you can create your own CBD products at home. • You can buy CBD isolate and mix that up into an oil if you feel the need, or maybe try and make your own gummies, or add CBD dry flower to baking or teas, there’s a bunch of popular ways. In fact, bath bombs, soaps and the like are enjoying a real boost at the moment thanks to an endorsement from Kim Kardashian, so if you fancy having a bash at making your own, there’s probably a small business to be found in it if you’re good at it, but act fast, because you won’t be the only person with the idea!

  5. The Alternative to Making CBD Oil • When it comes to the extraction and creation of CBD oil, however, there is only really one alternative, and that is to buy it. • Trustworthy CBD suppliers will ensure that all the products they offer or create are sourced from reliable and reputable farms and scientists. We, for example, make sure we are involved with every stage of the process to ensure we know exactly where our CBD oils are coming from, from plant to bottle, so you can rest assured what you’re buying is of the highest quality. • Truth be told, buying CBD oil is, above all else, going to get you a better quality of oil, but also, compared to the amount of equipment and lab space you’d need to create your own CBD extraction process, it’s also considerably cheaper to buy.

  6. The Legal Doubts • One more thing before we go, if you are still considering, despite all the above advice to the contrary, making your own CBD oil, be aware that it may not be legal. • It is fair to say that the legality of CBD around the world is in a constant state of flux, with even many countries where CBD is considered legal having some evidence to suggest the authorities aren’t completely aware of that. • In most places (but check, obviously) using a small amount of CBD won’t get you in much, if any trouble, but if you are caught with a lab set-up in your garage where you’re extracting CBD, you are likely to at least find yourself in a very difficult conversation with the authorities when it comes to explaining both what you are doing, and why you are doing it. • So, our advice here get creative when it comes to CBD products, feel free to create your own. Man, if you’re imaginative and talented enough and create something truly unique and tempting, contact us, maybe we could strike up some kind of arrangement. • However, when it comes to making CBD oil, we have a very simple attitude towards it, please don’t, it really isn’t worth it.
