  2. What is NPEC? • NPEC is the new essential in finding the perfect career fit. • NPEC promises to help students, employers, and career professionals make connections with educational and employment opportunities.

  3. The Competition • Local classifieds/JobFinder • Bulky and must be purchased. • Low student audience. • Can be hard to find the right fit. • Monster.com • Too broad of a database. • Listings can be unreliable.

  4. What does NPEC look like? • NPEC is professional, strong, and innovative. • It reaches many audiences. • Our new logo shows these qualities.

  5. The Tagline • “Find your fit.” • The word “fit” is very important • It indicates a sense of belonging, invoking the phrase “fitting in” • It also is a phrase commonly used by job seekers, human resource managers, and career counselors, who are all looking for the right career fit.

  6. The Plan • We will be introducing NPEC to potential clients through eye-catching and sometimes unconventional means of advertising. • For students: Guerilla Tactics and Social Networking Sites • For employers: Special deals, VIP access, unique direct mailing. • For career professionals: Contests, unique direct mailing.

  7. For Students • Guerilla Tactics • Clever messages in unexpected places with an “in-your-face” style tactic. • Messages left around your school’s campus in various places. • Post-it notes • Clings • Paper airplanes • Social Networking Sites • Facebook, MySpace, and Blogs (All FREE!)

  8. Cost of Student Plan • Paper for Paper Airplanes and Post-It Notes • Can be bought in bulk from most office supply stores for less than $5.00 for 500 sheets • Window Clings • 100 sheets for $84.60 • Affordable Printing • School print labs can create professional products for a fraction of stores.

  9. For Employers • Special deals • If an employer recruits another employer, the recruiter will receive a discount in price on their table. • VIP access • The employer can pay more to join the career fair, but get more in return. • E-mail Newsletter • Latest NPEC news • Collect e-mail addresses from career fair

  10. For Employers • Unique direct mailing • Small Boxes containing all the necessary information • Excite people about opening their mail • Chamber of Commerce • A partnership with the Chambers of Commerce • They have a vast database of employers and similar goals as NPEC.

  11. Cost of Employer Plan • Special Deals • The offer of special deals for referrals is cost-free and will increase revenue by increasing the number of tables at your career fair. • VIP Access • Special access for higher paying employers can increase revenue and cause employers to feel more connected to NPEC • More travelled spots at the fair, product in career fair gift bag, etc.

  12. Cost of Employer Plan • Unique Direct Mailing • Favor Boxes are $.39 per box • Flyers for inside can vary due to printer and type of paper. • We suggest using printers at school to save money. • E-mail Newsletter • Low cost

  13. Cost of Employer Plan • Chamber of Commerce • $250 each month to include flyer in a Chamber of Commerce packet that goes out to all businesses that are Chamber members.

  14. For Career Professionals • Contests • Schools with the most students attending job fairs receive a prize. • Lunch for the office, t-shirts, etc. • Each year the office wins in a row, the prize gets better. • Unique direct mailing • Small Boxes containing all the necessary information • Pique interest immediately

  15. For Career Professionals • E-mail Newsletter • Including updates on NPEC, new features of the site, and special events • Media Connection • Sponsored by King’s, but reaches local media professionals as well as King’s campus. • Similar newsletters from the other schools would be equally as effective.

  16. Cost of Plan for Career Professionals • Contests • Main cost of contests is the cost of the prizes, which can be adjusted according to budget. • Unique Direct Mailing • Favor Boxes are $.39 each • Flyers for inside can vary due to printer and type of paper. • We suggest using printers at school to save money.

  17. For Everyone • Utilize School Resources • School medias • Radio and TV stations • Newspapers and Newsletters • Alumni and local based • School Printshops • More cost-effective than non-affiliated printers

  18. Find your fit with NPEC • NPEC is an organization unlike any other. It needs advertising as unique as it is. • Our marketing plan will take NPEC to the next level and make it an essential part of the job search process.
