  2. About EnCana EnCana Corporation is one of North America’s leading natural gas producers. EnCana operates in the United States as EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. U.S. headquarters are in Denver, CO with field offices in Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas. EnCana also actively explores for new resource plays through its New Venture Business Unit. The USA Division exploits long-life unconventional natural gas formations in the Jonah Field in southwest Wyoming, the Piceance Basin in northwest Colorado, the DJ Basin in northeast Colorado and the East Texas, Fort Worth, Delaware and Maverick Basins in Texas. A new operational area for the division is the Haynesville Shale in Texas and North Louisiana. The majority of the USA Division’s production is from the four key resource plays at Jonah, Piceance, East Texas and Fort Worth. Together, these four key resource plays accounted for approximately 87 percent of total U.S. natural gas production in 2007
