This is the logo that we have chosen for our participation in Comenius Youropia. The blue background with the twelve stars represents the flag of the European Union. The slogan Youropia comes from the word youth and Europe that is the title of the programme’s subject.
The figures that you can see are youth from Europe. They are eight just like the number of countries that participate in the programme this year, and each one represents one of the eight countries. Each one is drawn with the flag of its country. The teen on the top of the pyramid is from Scotland, the country which is the leader of Comenius this year.As you can see the children are making a pyramid in order to put one star in the flag of European Union.
The pyramid symbolizes the significance of youth’s contribution in European idea. In this way we want to express the unity, collaboration, friendship and coexistence of the European citizens. These values can promote prosperity, peace and solidarity between countries and lead to the reduction of the gap between developed and less developed countries in the Union. To fulfill these targets the contribution of youth is extremely significant.
To sum up, we believe that this logo expresses the common efforts of the youth to make Europe a better place to live, get educated and work.
