2. Tawheed We followed the Kitab At Tawheed by Shk. Abdul Wahab, it was an excellent and comprehensive book, illuminating the light of tawheed [the Oneness of Allah]. Tawheed is the very foundation of this deen and the single most important concept and the purpose behind our creation. As Allah says.. “And I (Allah) created not the Jinn and men except they should worship Me (alone)” S.Ad Dhariaat: 56

Contents of Tawheed • The types of Tawheed, and how the Quran expounds on each tawheed. • We studied in detail about Tawheed e Uloohiyah • And how even a small trespassing of the boundaries leads us to SHIRK - the only unforgivable sin. • The origin of Shirk. • The various types of Shirk, major and minor. • All that leads to Shirk was also explained.

4. The children learnt some of the ways by which mankind is misled into shirk and major sin…

5. Some of the major problems faced by our youth nowadays which takes them out of the fold of Islam & ruins the aqeedah was also highlighted • Magic • Harry Potter • Astrology

6. FIQH • Tawheed taught us to truly make our acts of worship in accordance with the Quraan and Sunnah, and make them for Allah alone, as is stated in Surah Al An’am, • “Say: Verily, my Prayers, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allaah, the Lord of all that exists.” [Quraan 6: 162] • Consequentially, this lead to the study of Fiqh, thus perfecting our Worship of the one true Allah.

7. Contents of FIQH • TAHARAH – Wudu, ghusl & other related matters. • SALAH – conditions of acceptance of Salah, the arkaan and wajibat of salah, the correct way to perform Salah, the common mistakes in Salah, Sajadah Sahw • SAWM – the conditions for acceptance of fasting, the types, what nullifies the fast etc. • DUAS – All masnoon duas related to the above were taught in the class.

8. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Lessons learnt from Surah Al Kahf The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever recited Soorat Al-Kahf in the same manner in which it was revealed, it will serve for him as a light on the Day of Judgment, from his domicile to Makkah. And whoever recited the last ten verses, and it happens that the Dajjaal should appear after that, Dajjaal will not be empowered over him.” Al-Haakim 1/564 & Adh-Dhahabee Abu Ad-Dardaa reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Anyone who memorizes ten aayahs from the beginning of Soorat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjaal.” Muslim, Riyaad As-Saaliheen by Imaam An-Nawawee 183 #1012 One narration says, “from the end of Soorat Al-Kahf”.

9. Dhul Qarnayn Moosaa & Khidr The Owner of the Two Gardens The People of the Cave In approximately the middle of the Soorah comes the story of Iblees - the one who pulls the strings of fitnah. Will you then take him and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you What an evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers. Aayah 50 The story of the man who Allaah had blessed, but he forgot the One who had blessed him, transgressed and had doubts in his faith. He didn’t give thanks for the blessings, even though his friend reminded him. - Destruction of the crops and harvest + - Regret after it was too late The story of the believing young men who were living in a disbelieving country. They decided to leave their homes and run away with their religion after a confrontation between them and their people. - Allaah rewarded them with the mercy of the cave and care of the sun + - They woke up to find their village were all believers The story of the great king that joined both knowledge and strength, and traveled to all parts of the earth, helping people and spreading goodness. - He overcame the problem of Gog and Magog by building a dam and was able to put to work the strength of a people who could hardly understand a word. When Moosaa was asked, “Who is the most knowledgeable person in the earth? He said, “Me” Then Allaah revealed to him that there was someone more knowledgeable than him. - Moosaa traveled to meet him in order to learn from him how sometimes we do not understand Allaah’s Wisdom but He is invariably Wise (i.e. – the ship, the boy, the wall) Sincerity Humility Knowing the reality of life Good companions Boats of success Soorat Al-Kahf= 4 stories Trial of religion Trial of wealth and children Trial of knowledge Trial of authority Remembering the Hereafter Calling to Allaah

10. What is the relationship of Soorat Al-Kahf to the Dajjaal? The Dajjaal will appear prior to the Day of Judgment with 4 trials: • He will ask people to worship him instead of Allaah Trial of religion • He will order the sky to rain, and he will tempt people with his wealth. Trial of wealth • He will try people with knowledge due to what he reveals to people of ghaib Trial of knowledge • He will control major parts of the Earth Trial of authority

11. Understanding the secret of reading Soorat Al-Kahf every Friday? Realizing the importance of S.Kahf in helping us understand the trials of this life, and the way to be saved from them? The Prophet (SAW) has mentioned the great importance S.Kahf has in guarding us from the Dajjaal? Thus, we have to read it every Friday, and of course following its commands afterwards. Lessons
