RAPIDE’s results Bringing innovation faster to the market • 17 Action Plans of 5 innovative RAPIDE Actions are currently implemented: • Innovation Voucher Schemes • Business Angel Network Academy • Assessment tool for start-ups • Pre-Commercial Procurement projects (PCP) • Digital Storytelling to bring innovators to finance/market

Pre-Commercial Procurement PCP Bringing innovation faster to the market • What is PCP? • The public sector does not procure a final product, but much more it procures the research to satisfy a need (social, technical, economical,…) • RAPIDE and PCP • FP7 project under the PCP structure to solve the need for a pre-selection tool of start-ups for public and privatefunds • 3 RAPIDE regions currently implement PCP projects • Kujawsko-Pomorskie – Poland • South West of England – UK • Észak-Alföld – Hungary

  5. “DigStar” Digital Storytelling to bring innovation faster to market/finance • Digital storytelling to bring innovation to finance/market • FP7-ICT-2011-8 PCP e-governance • Target: • structured digital storytelling will replace written application forms as a new way of selecting start-ups for public and/or private seed funding. • Result: • public investors will use similar selection criteria for start-up funding as private Venture Funds do. • Output: • Developed text analysis technology will allow to countercheck the future applications with other funding programmes to avoid double funding.

PCP in Észak-Alföld Bringing innovation faster to the market • Why? • Giving chance to SMEs to enter into the procurement practises • Generating competition on the field of Research and Development • Giving chance to the procurers to buy the best solution available or developed • Giving the opportunity to the developers to commercialize the developed product • Developing products where the market needs meets supplied R&D developments • Broadening the scale of RDI measure from the demand size
