  1. E Team Executive Overview

  2. E Team Introduction • The E Team system enables you to maintain situational awareness, manage resources, manage tasks, and monitor all aspects of infrastructure within your jurisdiction • E Team gathers information from many different sources, and brings it into one common area for analysis and use • Additionally, the E Team system provides a capability to document all actions taken during an incident or event

  3. E Team Capabilities • E Team provides a capability to document actions taken during an Incident or Event • Incident Tracking (Emergency, Planned, Medical) • Disease Surveillance • Resource Request Tracking • Task/Plan Tracking • Critical Asset Tracking • PIO Tracking • Critical Infrastructure Monitoring • Intel Dissemination • COOP Reporting in accordance with FPC 65 • Common Bookshelf of References • Notification Capability for rapid alerting • Ability to Control Access to documents • ICS/NIMS Compliant

  4. E TeamMaintaining Situational Awareness • The basis of the system, is the ability of the user to: • Utilize Color Codes to visually denote the status of an Event or Incident, (Planned or Emergency), Resources, Tasks and Critical Infrastructure • Ability to manipulate the data in various views to provide a vehicle for quick analysis • Linked to GIS map to visually see the impact and relation between Incidents, resources and infrastructure

  5. Color Coding • Color codes are used to denote various statuses • Color codes are user definable • Also reflected on the map

  6. User/Function Specific Menu • The user has the ability to customize the menu for each end user or function/position • This enables the end user to only see what is specifically required of them to use within the system • This shortens the training needed for the end user, and makes the system more intuitive

  7. Views/Status Screens • Many views are available to manipulate the data, to analyze data and assist in the development of Courses of Action • Data within the view can be further sorted (twisties)

  8. Sorting of Data Example of a sort by Prognosis

  9. Searching for Data Search for a Key Word “Fire”

  10. GIS Mapping • Color coding of Icons to quickly ascertain trouble areas • Icons are tied to a particular function (incident type, resource type, other forms) • Icons show relationship of incidents to resources and critical infrastructure

  11. Primary Forms in E TeamEvent Form • Basis of system • All forms are associated with an Event • Multiple events are possible • Bookkeeping help for FEMA reimbursement

  12. Primary Forms in E TeamIncident Form • The Incident Form is used to maintain information on an incident as it evolves • Additionally, Incidents have ICS forms attached, so the operations center can be kept apprised of the tactical operation in the field, and be able to forecast resource needs

  13. Primary Forms in E TeamPlanned Activity Form The Planned Activity Report enables you to track an activity from the planning phase, through various stages of execution to completion

  14. Primary Forms in E TeamMedical Incident Form • The Medical Incident Report allows you to track medical incidents within your jurisdiction, with a public health specific format • Form can be used to track individuals or nodes of infection

  15. Primary Forms in E TeamAlert Bulletin • System wide alerts for critical Event/Incident, Administrative information • Pop-up format

  16. Primary Forms in E TeamMessage Center Form • This form enables workflow creation • Designed for Volunteer staffed message center, rumor control lines etc.. • Incident Reports and Resource Reports can be created with one click from the Call Center Report

  17. Primary Forms in E TeamInfrastructure Reports • These reports enable your jurisdiction to track the status of various elements of infrastructure • Hospital • Shelter • Facilities • Road • Utilities • Transit

  18. Primary Forms in E TeamResource Request • The Resource Request enables you to track a resource request from the initial request through to arrival on scene, and ultimately demobilization

  19. Primary Forms in E TeamCritical Asset Form The Critical Asset Form enables the tracking of either all or particular assets within your jurisdiction

  20. Primary Forms in E TeamAgency Situation Report • The Agency Report enables real time reporting for all agencies within the jurisdiction • Key elements of information are able to be entered • Elements of information allow for easy creation of a jurisdiction IAP

  21. Primary Forms in E TeamJurisdiction Situation Report • All key information elements within a jurisdiction • Can be used for Tracking costs and assist in FEMA reimbursement

  22. Primary Forms in E TeamIntelligence Reports • Intelligence Reports enable you to provide various levels with intelligence information for planning and operations • Summary • Location • Entity • Biography • Hotline Report

  23. Primary Forms in E TeamTask Module • The Task module provides a way to track the execution of plans and assigned tasks • The Task Module can also be used to track ad hoc tasks during an Incident, additionally allowing for documentation of implied tasks that can be derived from specified taskings • Can be viewed by responsible agencies to avoid over tasking of an agency • Plans can be pre-loaded into the system and associated to an Event/Incident

  24. Primary Forms in E TeamDuty Log • Provides a centralized individual Duty Log • Searchable for key data

  25. Interoperability Functions • Notification – Provides a way to let staff know when something happens within the system. An added benefit, is the notification can also let key personnel know when a major incident has occurred. Notifications can be sent either internally within the system (Targeted Alert), or to digitally enabled devices (Cell Phones, Pagers, PDA’s) • Web Based – You don’t have to be in the Operations Center to know what is happening within the jurisdiction. Creates a true “Virtual EOC” • Data Sharing – Allows the sharing of Data with other systems, without losing the autonomy of your system. Other systems include other E Team systems, DMIS, and other Commercially available systems using Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and EDXL Resource Standards • XML ability allows for E Team to easily interface/Integrate with any XML compatable systems (CAD, Logisitics systems etc….)

  26. Interoperability Functions • Reference Library – A true common repository of data. Data is stored in E Team, so there are no issues with access to other agencies servers • Directory – Allows the jurisdiction to maintain a directory of users and non-users. Responders and their certifications and qualifications, along with contact information can be stored. Vendor databases can also be entered, allowing for all agencies to be able to use the contact information. In addition, the directory can be configured to automatically send out update emails for all personnel entered.

  27. Other Functions • User Checklist – Provides a description of user duties and responsibilities for the position they are filling. • Staffing – Create an automated staffing schedule based upon your organization • Public Information – Document the process of reviews and approvals for PI releases • Corporate Report – Enables your private partners to provide information to the Operations Center. • COOP/COG Reporting – Ability to manage COOP/COG operations within the system • Modeling – Able to post CATS/HPAC models into the system, and superimpose them on the GIS maps • Hand-drawn Overlays – Ability to create hand drawn overlays from the GIS maps that everyone can access • Attachments – The ability to attach any type of electronic file to a report for additional information. Anything from Audio from wire taps to Video clips can be attached.

  28. E Team Conclusion • All of the various reports and functions in E Team are brought together to bring you a greater awareness of what is happening within your jurisdiction • Functions within the system, aid in providing a greater level of interoperability to the many agencies within the jurisdiction • This all comes together to provide you with real-time situational awareness within your jurisdiction
