  14. Jesus in His flesh versus Jesus in His followers

  15. God’s plan is man Jesus focused on 12 men He concentrated on 3 .

  16. He staked His whole ministry upon them "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;”(John 17:20) Everything depended upon their faithfulness if the world would believe on Him “through their word.”

  17. Man is God’s method The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. (2Ti 2:2)

  18. Believing “through their word”

  19. Jesus gave 2 Post-ResurrectionCommands • Matt 28:18-20 • Acts 1:8

  20. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.“ Matt 28:18-20 The Great Commission

  27. Following Christ Jesus’ Life Death Resurrection

  28. Living the crucified life: I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Gal. 2:20

  29. Your life isn’t your own Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Cor 6:19-20

  30. “always being ready” Pray for opportunities • “praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.” (Col 4:3-4) Know the Gospel

  33. The Hope of His followers: “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” (Phil 3:10-11) "having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked”(Acts 24:15)
