What is EPIC? •  Clinical data is organized in a single, integrated record for each patient – across inpatient, post-acute, GP/ambulatory, community, and home settings – giving providers a comprehensive, up-to-date record. • Epic's applications operate together without the need for interfaces. This integration around one record greatly improves patient safety.

Why use EPIC? • Epic's on-time, on-budget track record is one of the best in healthcare, as rated by independent reviewers. • Epic software is quick to implement, easy to use and highly interoperable through industry standards. • Information is shared securely in two ways: Care Everywhere, where the doctor controls the flow of data across organizations, and the Lucy PHR, where patients control their own health information.
