  3. Data for 100 Find the mode of the data: 21, 15, 2, 21, 28, 7, 1. 21 Mode: the value or values that occur most often in a data set. A data set may have more than one mode or no mode.

  4. Data for200 Find the range of the data. 9, 25, 23, 4, 5, 28, 17, 8, 29, 10, 10, 5 25 The range of data is the difference in the maximum and minimum data.

  5. Data for 300 Find the median of the data: 21, 15, 2, 22, 8, 8, 7, 1. 8 To use your calculator, select STAT, Edit and place the numbers in a list. To perform calculations like median and mean goto 2nd LIST, MATH, select the operation and the List.

  6. Data for 400 Find the mean of the data: 21, 15, 2, 22, 8, 8, 7, 1. 10.5 Mean: the number obtained by dividing the sum of the values in a data set by the number of values. Often called the average.

  7. Data for 500 Find the five-number summary for the data. 4,6,8,8,11,14,16,20,21,22,25 4, 8, 14, 21, 25 To use your calculator to create a box plot: Enter your data into a list, go to STATPlot, select a box plot and your data list, graph.
