  1. Solbrite Challenge #3 Marlee S 9 Mississippi

  2. Describe the problem you want to solve. You know how people always loose their stuff? Well my mom is one of those people who is always asking me, “ Honey, go find my keys, my pen, my checkbook.” Well now there is a solution, the Solbrite will allow you to find all the stuff you need in your purse. I want it to be powered by a solar panel and an LED light

  3. Make a list of possible ways to solve this problem. (Sometimes we also add a question like - How have people tried to solve this problem in the past? Think of how you can improve on other solutions.) 1. Go outside in the light 2. Carry a flashlight 3.If in the dark, go to a street light and put your purse under the light. 4. Put a light in your purse powered by a solar panel ( I did that). Buy solbrite!!

  4. Draw pictures and diagrams to show your invention and how it might work. Ok, these pictures are my invention pictures of my prototype. The one that shows the light is what it will do. The one with the diamonds and solar panel is on the outside if the purse. The paper explains what is does. **This step is required.

  5. Build your prototype. Write down each step so that you will remember exactly how you built your model. First, I drilled a hole in the side of the purse then, I put the wires of the solar panel through the pocket Next, I twisted the LED light to the wires of the solar panel After that, I put safety pins where the hole was Finally, I shined a flashlight on the solar panel and it lit up!!

  6. Perform some experiments to find out how well your prototype works. Write down the results of each test.I asked 3 friends to test my invention. These were the results:

  7. How can you improve your prototype? I could have improved my invention by doing the final invention that would be battery operated. That means it would be charged all the time so when you open the purse the light will come on by itself.

  8. Give your invention a name and explain why people should buy it. you sould buy this it is only $20.00 Carrie Underwood just loves her new Solbrite Mrs. Holt loves the Solbrite
