  1. Pearl Harbor WWII By: Gary Bernatonis8-6 September 29, 2005

  2. Introduction: • I chose to do the history of Pearl Harbor and its effect on the war. I did it because I like reading old war stories, and watching old movies/ videos of World War 1 and World War 2. I wish I could of done all of World War II, but it was to long and spread over a very long period of time. That is why I did Pearl Harbor instead of all of the World War 2.

  3. The attack of Pearl Harbor was in 1941 on December 7th during World War 2. There were two waves the first one hit at 7:53 AM, and the second wave hit at 8:55 AM. Both the waves of there fleet consisted of mostly all airplanes. By 9:55 AM it was all over. It did massive damage on the allied side and it was very devastating to the army and its men.

  4. Japan Entered WW2 • The attack of Pearl Harbor marked Japans entrance into World War 2. Japan entered on the side of Germany and Italy on the U.S. on the Allied side.

  5. Death Toll • PERSONNEL KILLED・ • Navy 2001・ Marine Corps 109・ Army 231・ Civilian 54 PERSONNEL WOUNDED・ • Navy 710・ Marine Corps 69・ • Army 364・ Civilian 35 SHIPS・ • Sunk or beached 12・ Damaged 9 AIRCRAFT・ • Destroyed 164・ • Damaged 159

  6. Conclusion: • I chose to do Pearl Harbor in the World War 2. I did it because I like reading old war stories of World War 1 and World War 2, and watching some old movies/ videos about old wars. I wish I could of done all of World War II for this project, but it is too long and spread over a large amount of time. I think Pear Harbor could have been avoided if the Japanese’s didn’t attack and they wouldn’t have been involved in World War 2.
