  1. Turnaround Database Turnaround Tools & Processes

  2. Turnaround Database • Multi-user level-security database. • Database can be tailored to client processes. There is no need to change processes to match a canned program. • The database belongs to the client when it is complete. • Input data is validated in “Lookup” tables similar to the master data tables in SAP. • Scope can be appended to database from existing scope collection tools (SAP, Excel, etc.). • Integration of Primavera Data into database can reduce the number of people working in the Primavera program. • Bulk requisition of materials lead to project pricing which reduces cost. Turnaround Tools & Processes

  3. Scope Management • Scope collection, approval and prioritization. • Manage scope changes (additions, deletions & discovery). • Extensive coding and reporting capabilities. • Append repetitive scope to the next scheduled turnaround to save planning time on future turnarounds. • Scope Planning / Scheduling • Track & report MOC requirements. • Track & report mechanical and AEI design requirements. • Plan materials for individual jobs by pipe specification to minimize mistakes. • Track & Report scope planning and scheduling progress. • Attach external documents that relate to a specific scope item (photographs, drawings, P&ID’s, Spec Sheets, etc.). • Print complete scope item packages with one button. Turnaround Tools & Processes

  4. Scope and Justification Form Equipment and unit information is entered into the fields on the left side of the form, and scope data is entered into the text boxes on the center and right side of the form. Turnaround Tools & Processes

  5. Scope and Justification Form • Required Data: (labels are red text) • Unit – Unit where the scope is located • Equipment – Equipment identification number • P&ID# – P&ID the equipment or scope is shown • Process System – System lock out that includes this scope item. • Entity Type – Exchanger, drum, tower, valve, etc. • Sponsor – Person responsible for the job notes • Category – Expense, capital, etc. • Scheduled T/A – Which turnaround this scope will be completed. • Scope Statement – Short detailed statement of the scope of work. • Justification – Reason this scope must be performed in a turnaround. Turnaround Tools & Processes

  6. Scope and Justification Form • Additional Data: • Line Number – For piping and valve scope • Job Type – Creates work classifications for scope • Area – If your unit is divided into specific areas • Zone – To create execution zone teams • Requestor – If this is different than the sponsor • Location – Specific grid location so work items can be geographically located • Issue Tab – Documents any known issues or concerns with this scope item • Remarks – Free text field that all users can add remarks about this scope item. • Notes – More free text for scope related notes • Linked Info – Location to link documents, photos, and other external information Turnaround Tools & Processes

  7. Scope and Justification Form – Planning Tab The planning status form is updated by many different turnaround roles to document the preparation status of each scope item. Turnaround Tools & Processes

  8. Scope and Justification Form – Planning Tab • Field Descriptions: • MOC – Is Management Of Change required? • MOC# – Free text field for the MOC number. • Mech Design – Identifies if a mechanical package will be issued. • AEI Design – Identifies if an AE&I package will be issued. • Field Walk – Documents the status of the field planning activities. • Field Planning – Documents the status of the planning details. • Material – Status of the bill of material. • AEI Plan – Status of the analyzer, electrical, or instrument plan. • Scaffolding – Identifies scaffold planning requirements. • Insulation – Status of the insulation plan. • SEP – Status of the “Specific Equipment Plan”. • Insp Test Plan – Status of the inspection test plan. 9. Scope and Justification Form – Planning Tab • Field Descriptions (continued): • Blind List – Is a scope specific blind list required. • Blind List Type – “Entry”, “Hot Work”, “Test”. • Hot Work – Is a hot work permit required during execution. • Lifting Equip. – Does the work require review by a crane & rigging SME. • Torque Plan – Does this scope require torquing. • Primavera Plan – Status of the plan and scheduling in Primavera. • Plan Complete – Status of all the planning activities for this scope. • Pre-Fab Contractor – Contractor or shop executing pre-T/A fabrication. • Primary Contractor – Contractor executing the turnaround phase work. • Primary Planner – Planner responsible for the scope. • Support Planner – Planner who assists the primary planner. • Document Control – Status of the physical documents. 12. Scope Reporting • Multiple canned reports are available and additional reports can be easily added. • Extensive filtering capability. • Save reports with filter criteria for future use or batch printing. • Scope Closure/Completion, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning forms are built in. • Primavera Integration • Primavera exports can be imported into the turnaround database. • The database is set up to perform code checking for discrepancies in Primavera. • Database reports can be used to validate scope item plans. • Turnaround shift reports and shift progressing can be run from the database allowing schedulers more time to work schedule issues.
