  1. Effelsberg 11 cm (Reich e.a.) showing several shell SNRs & CTB80

  2. CTB 80, WSRT at 49 cm

  3. CTB 80: 90 cm & 3.6 cm WSRT

  4. Steep-spectrum point source in flat-spectrum component (VLA)

  5. in flat-spectrum component, a steep-spectrum 40 ms pulsar

  6. Properties of PSR 1951+32, from PuMa + WSRT data • Char. age,   105 yr • Pulse arrival times, 1999-2005 • Timing solution from 840 (blue) & 1380 MHz • Fit includes 2 period derivatives, DM, motion.. • Much timing noise, event near MJD 51950

  7. Transverse motion long suspected of PSR 1951+32 • Scintillation observations had shown it • WSRT 90 & 3.6 cm maps

  8. Motion of PSR1951+32 (100 yr arrow) as measured by the VLA, 19 & 22 cm (Migliazzo e.a.)

  9. PSR1951+32 location 107,000 yr ago (on IRAS 60/100  map)

  10. Collaborators • PSR1951+32 proper motion: Migliazzo, Gaensler, Backer, Stappers, Swaluw
