Summary National Hispanic Heritage month is the period from September 15 to October 15 in the Unites States, when people recognize The contributes of Hispanic and Latin Americans to the United States and celebrate the groups heritage and culture. September 15 was chosen as the starting point for the celebration because it is The anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries : Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. They all declared independence is 1821

  15. Knowledge Gained • I learned that you don’t always have to be spanish and know spanish • As your first language. • I learned that not all spanish people are born where they are from. • and last but not least I learned that spanish people have lots of family • Gatherings and love to party.
