The new Mandatory wear resolution by law enforcement 2012-1: • Charge Leaders: Burke Waldron, Rodger Norcross and Darren Rider • Reviewed and tracked Regional Resolutions • Amended Resolution 2012-1 now consistent with the Regional Resolutions. • Attached w/ Ex. Watercraft and this committee will host an Officer Survival Course prior to Annual Conference (September 8, 2012 USCG Air Station Mobile ,AL)

Training and CertificationCharge # 3 • Evaluate and refresh ODW law enforcement documents • Charge Leader: Matt Majors • Full audit of ODW documents w/ Kristy Moore, Trapp Communications • “Fill-in-the-blanks” document for 2013 development • Saturation Patrol document favored over “Check Point” terminology.

Training and CertificationCharge # 4 • Develop regional training opportunities for new BUI standards • Charge Leader: Brandon Gust • Regional interest to host training • Need to identify 2013 training schedule • State announcements will be made by Annual conference • Regions may pool resources to host a single BUI class depending on location.

Training and CertificationCharge # 5 • Seek inclusion of the SFST’s into the curricula by NHTSA and IACP • Charge Leader: Tim Baumgarten • NASBLA communication with NHSTA has yielded acknowledgement of legitimate NASBLA/USCG study and the development of the SFST’s • No funding to study until 2015
