Has there been any events this year that have impacted IPv4 Allocations in the AfriNIC Region??
So far after 7 months AfriNIC has allocated more IPv4 space than the entire year from 3-Feb 2010 till 3-Feb 2011
If we presume a linear growth for the rest of the year AfriNIC will have allocated almost twice the IPv4 space
Has there been any events this year that have impacted IPv6 Allocations in the AfriNIC Region??
Both events have not that much impact on v6 growth in the AfriNIC region
AfriNIC three main themes for 2011:
2) Interconnecting Africa
3) Cyber Security issues
The public policy meeting was proceeded by three days of IPv6 and Internet Resource Management training, and followed by the AfriNIC Government Working Group (AFGWG).
Next AfriNIC Meeting
AfriNIC- 15 19-25 Nov 2011
Thank you !!
