In 1998, he worked in the tech world across the globe. He has worked in the United States, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. In that same year, he contracted a major financial firm in the United Kingdom, looking after 110,000 people worldwide using email. Continuing, he moved back to South Africa in 2000 and started a company called SwiftSMS. This company was created with a goal in mind to provide SMS solutions to businesses throughout the world. In 2005, he noticed that many companies needed an external IT specialist to give them opinions and help with security or fix the wifi. He created Swift Consulting during this time to provide IT consulting services to any business in the world.

  3. In 2008, he started a blog called TheTechieGuy at TheTechieGuy.com. That blog has won multiple international and local awards. He originally started the blog to answer the commonly asked questions he was receiving, including fixing wifi. Many of the questions he was asked also had a common theme of ps4 wifi being too slow. This allowed him to send someone a link instead of explaining the same thing over and over again. The links gave him the chance to talk to multiple people worldwide and not just people who knew him. He quickly found that sending a link was fast and gave him more time in his day. Eventually, he created a YouTube channel that was launched and has continued to collect over 8 million views. This channel is used to show people how to fix the connection on their devices, rate phones and gadgets, give tech tips, and keep you up to date on the most recent technology.

The quickest way to increase speed on your ps4 is by changing the DNS. To do this, first, login to your console, open settings, then network settings. Choose the wifi icon, then press custom and connect to your home router. Continue to select the automatic settings until the DNS screen comes up. Pick manual and enter 1.1.1.1 as the DNS Primary, then add 1.0.0.1 as the DNS Secondary. If this doesn’t fix the wifi on your ps4, try setting 8.8.8.8 for the Primary DNS, and the Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4. The speed on your ps4 can often be fixed by changing the DNS.
