  1. XCAL LED – HV control Status • News • LV control. • The OPC server on PC cadcs01w has been upgraded to latest version (v.3.0.679.0 ) and tested for all Wiener power supplies. • DEFAULT recipes have been created for all DCS calorimeter projects. Now it allows to control power supplies with different as PHYSICS recipe names. • Wiener low voltage power supply active monitoring was implemented for CALO supplies (see next slide). • HV control. • Additional panel for HV channels masking has been developed. This job was pushed by a work during the TED run. • TED run. • HV values and FE delay settings distributions prepared for TED run. • Planning CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]

  2. Status of LV power supply control • We have strong recommendation from Eric Thomas (GLIMOS - Exp LHCb) to • implement an active monitoring of the calorimeter low voltage power supplies. For calorimeter sub-detectors a Wiener low voltage power supply active monitoring was implemented few weeks ago after upgrading the Wiener OPC server (project CADCSLV). There are two levels of ECS alert: • WARNING alert produces message to Alert Screen when a power supply current more than 10 % of nominal value. • 2. ERROR alert produces message to Alert Screen, changes FSM state to ERROR state and switches off an over current channel, when a power supply current more than 30 % of nominal value. • For the correct settings of the alarm levels the nominal voltages and currents of the LV power supplies were measured when HV was set with COSMICS recipe. CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]

  3. ECAL/HCAL HV channel masking Panel For improving the calorimeter hot channels masking on the level of HV system the dedicated panel has been developed. There are five different addresses describing an individual detector cell: 1. Official detector naming area=O,M,I; X=0 – 64; Y=0 – 64; 2. Cell X, Y coordinate in mm; 3. Cell DAQ encoding detID<<14+area<<12+Y<<6+X; 4. FE channel address 10000*crate+100*slot+ ch; 5. HV board address 1000* board+channel; Not implemented yet ECAL one side HV top level panel. CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]

  4. ECAL HV and FE delay distributions used in TED run Middle Outer Inner Gain for regions: Inner – 20 k; Middle – 10 k; Outer – 2,5 k; Maximum delay spread < 5 ns CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]

  5. HCAL HV and FE delay distributions used in TED run Outer Inner Gain for regions: Inner – 20 k; Outer – 5 k; Maximum delay spread < 4 ns CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]

  6. XCAL LED – HV control Status Planning Finalize the channel masking panel development. CALO meeting 22.06.2009 Anatoli Konoplyannikov [ITEP / LAPP]
