And so it begins.

Sometimes saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do. After saying good bye to our loved ones at home, we stopped on our way out of to town to see my grandmother of 91 years. I ’m sure she will still be around to hear my first sermon as a full time preacher. And so it begins.

  1. Sometimes saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do. After saying good bye to our loved ones at home, we stopped on our way out of to town to see my grandmother of 91 years. I ’m sure she will still be around to hear my first sermon as a full time preacher. And so it begins. First we would like to say thank you to all who helped us move and get down here. We landed on the hottest day of they year, with a high of only 103. We have been blessed beyond belief to have the support of so many. Sometimes you see the providence of God working right before your eyes. While working hard to find a carrier for our house hold goods, our neighbor which happens to own his own tractor and trailer said that he would be able to haul our items down to Arkansas. So, we loaded on Friday night and by Monday morning he was waiting at our home in AR for us to unload. This was not for free by any means, however it was much less than we could have hoped for. Thank you Roman. On a personal note, Mary has had to find work in order to offset the support that we have not been able to raise. The Lord has blessed her with a job in the Searcy school district as an aid in the special Ed room. While I am sure she could make more somewhere else, the Lord has made sure that she will be home when the kids are and will be able to travel back to Michigan next summer when I am out of school. (it was the first job she applied for, what a blessing to find a job so soon.) Zachary and Emily started school this week and Zachary ended up missing two days due to foot surgery ( I think he just wanted to play hookie and used the surgery to get out of school. ) The kids are working hard to make friends and we hope this will not take long. On Friday (August 22) we had our official kick off of the 2008 CMAT program and we start classes on the 25th. Please pray for me and my family.I wanted to give you our address one more time for those who may not have received our last email.Barry and Mary Chaffin 501-380-8105 (Home)1500 Lois PlSearcy Ar. 72143One last note to say thank you again to those who are supporting us in this work. We have had some difficulties in getting all of the support promised and for those who sent your support early, thank you.
