  4. Hotel Information • The Classic Place Hotel • 1596 New Petchburi Road Bangkok, Thailand. • 990 Baht ($25 US dollars) a night • Room includes two beds, air conditioned, and DSL internet connection. • Total Spent: 11,880 Baht($300 United States Currency)for 12 nights.

  6. Day 1 • 11:10 am- Depart from Newark Airport on Northwest Airline flight 27 • Layover in Tokyo, Japan. • 11:50 pm- Arrive in Bangkok, Thailand. • Rent a car at the airport for 1 week (approx. $150 US currency). • Flight takes 25 hrs 40 min.

Day 2 • Order a small breakfast from hotel restaurant (hot tea and a pastry) • Drive from the hotel to The National Museum, approx. 25 minutes away. • Enter the national museum • Eat lunch in the museum cafeteria • Return to the Hotel • Recuperate from jet lag (sleep) • Order Soup and salad from Hotel Restaurant ($2.95 United States Currency)

Day 3 • Purchase coffee from hotel café ($.45 United States Currency) • Drive to the river taxi docks. • Take the Thonburi Klongs and Rice Barge Cruise until 12:00 for $16 (US currency). • Grab some soup from the waterside Thonburi marketplace (approx. $2 United States Currency). • Tour the waterfront. • Take an hour bus ride to see the temple of the Emerald Buddha ($10 US currency). • Eat dinner at the hotel restaurant, Steak and Vegetables (Approx. $6 United States Currency).

  9. Day 4 • Explore Bangkok’s famous markets, including the floating market atDamnoen Saduak. I will dine at “The Waterfront restaurant” and have different seafood bisques at noon, as well as a few glasses of water (about $10). • Eat a small dinner at the hotel café (probably something unhealthy for under five dollars US Currency.

  12. Day 5 • Drive 10 minutes to the tour bus station. • Travel by bus to the Bang Pa and the Ayutthaya Palaces, as well as the surrounding countryside. Meals are included in the tour price ($50 US currency). • Included meal is Thailand noodles with shrimp.

Day 6 • Eat breakfast at the hotel café. • Stroll Bangkok streets: sightsee what’s within walking distance. • Eat a small meal at the from one of the street vendors (sweet pancakes and banana fritters) for $7 United States. • Relax in hotel room and catch up on sleep to prepare for the next day.

Day 7 • Catch a cab to the airport and fly just over one hour to the Krabi Islands, Thailand ($200 US currency. • Get on board a sea plane to see the many beaches and mountains of the Krabi Islands. • Eat lunch on one of Krabi’s golden beaches. • Return to the Krabi airport via seaplane. • Take hotel Charter Bus to hotel • Eat dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 8 • Eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant. • Take the hotel Shuttle to the waterfront. • Travel to the island of Koh Poda to snorkel ($26 US currency). • Return by boat to the waterfront. • Go to the ocean side festival and enjoy ocean side activities • Eat BBQ on Krabi beach ($10 for the meal, $5 American for admission).

Day 9 • Eat breakfast at the hotel (khao hawm mali) or Jasmine Rice, as well as fruits from the nearby market (all for about $4 • Catch a cab • Go on a sea plane trip around the island for about $100 United States Currency • eat dinner at the hotel restaurant (Thai noodle dish with shrimp) for about $10.

Day 10 • Head out to the harbor via taxi to the water taxi docks • Catch a water taxi to the airport. • Catch a seaplane tour of the island from noon to five (lunch included on one of the islands) for $115 United States Currency. • Return to the airport and catch a cab to the restaurant “Sunrise Tropical Restaurant” for dinner. • Fillet of Red Snapper in basil, black pepper, lime, and coconut on a bed of Jasmine rice.

  20. Day 11 • Leave hotel by bus to take elephant trek to Tiger Cave temple, also known as Wat Tham Sua. • Trip costs about $130 • Take a bus back to Bangkok. • Eat dinner (Chicken and rice dish for about $7 US currency) at the hotel.

  21. Day 12 • Sleep in late, catch a cab to Pattaya: Mini Siam. • Minitures of famous buildings from around the world. • See the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 13 • Morning: Visit the Jim Thompson Museum ($20 admission) • Model of Thai Architecture and art. • Eat lunch in a café by the nearby floating market • Afternoon: Go to the Royal Barges Museum ($22 admission) • 6:00- Return to the hotel, eat a dinner of smoked salmon and rice (about $13), and later prepare to pack for my return flight.

  25. Day 14 • Get up at around two and visit the Bangkok floral market (famous for rare and unique flowers). • Make my way to the airport • 4:05 am- catch flight 28 on Northwest Airline • Layover in Tokyo • 4:45 am- Return to Newark Airport.
