  • The 1st PEACE TIME draft was passed in 1940 thanks to the Selective Service and Training Act

  • The Atlantic Charter of 1940:

    • No territorial gain would come out of World War II for any nation.

    • People have the right to choose their own governmental leaders

    • A new international government should be created

      • Becomes the grounds for the UNITED NATIONS (to replace the FAILED League of Nations). The UN is still around today!

ANYWAY – it should have been the Soviet Union! They NEVER declared war on the US! JAPAN, ITALY and GERMANY did!
