The Context • UCT’s Jammie Shuttle (JS) launched in 2005 • It’s a service to students and alleviates Campus parking issues. • JS operates 11 routes, based on a “Park & Ride” principle • Upmarket areas include Newlands, Rondebosch, Claremont, Mowbray, Obs (Medical Campus) and into town (Fine Art). • JS transports a desirable target market for advertisers

The Stats • A fleet of 30 buses • Operated by Sibanye (licensed contractors) • Carrying 30 000 passenger trips a day (on average) reaching 45 000 per day at peak times. • Clean and safe environment • Min duration of 7 minutes per ride • Max duration of 20 min • Captive audience • Jammie Shuttle branded in UCT blue

Audience Numbers • 30 000 passenger trips per day • 150 000 per week (excl weekends) • 600 000 per month • Allowing for duplication – divide by 2 • 300 000 per month • 6 days a week (limited service on Sundays) • 6am – midnight (2am prior to exams) • Holidays = limited service Verified by UCT Properties and Services Dept and Sibanye Bus Co.

Rates - Bus • Total buses = 30 • 3 packages available (10 buses per package) • one bus per route, • 26 x 30 seater Senior buses, four x 45 Explorer seater • 2 posters per bus (front and rear) • R2500 per bus per month • Total cost = R25 000pm * • Production cost of printing: R4500 (once off cost) *Rates = ex VAT & incl Agency comm

Rates – Bus Stops • 4 Bus Stops on Campus • 2 Scrollers per stop • Each Scroller carries 6 ad posters • Each package offers one ad per Scroller • 8 posters per package • R2000 month per poster • Total cost = R16 000pm* • 6 packages available • Production cost for producing poster is R3 000 • Installation cost by Moving Tactics: R5840 *Rates = ex VAT & incl Agency comm.

  10. Rates • Based on competitive analysis of Comutanet , Campus Media and Primedia Unlimited’s Wash Room Frames. • Analysed on a CPT basis • Estimated against the desirable target market

Terms and Conditions • All of the above inventory is subject to availability at time of booking • All campaigns are subject to landlord approval • All monthly rentals include agency commission & VAT • Print production lead times is 10 WORKING DAYS from receipt of correct artwork and proof sign-off • Blue Bus Media to handle all Production • Production payment is required upfront before the start of the campaign • PLEASE NOTE PAYMENT IS COD FOR PRINTING AND 30 DAYS FOR MEDIA • The UCT does not allow alcohol advertising on the buses or bus stops
