  1. Divergent By: Sara

  2. Summery • You are standing in an unfamiliar building surrounded by bowls that could hold your whole body if you curled up in a ball. Each one contains a substance that represents each fraction: gray stones for abnegation ( the selfless ), water for erudite( the smart ), earth for amity( the caring ) lit coals for dauntless ( the brave ), and glass for candor( the truthful ). When Marcus calls you up you will stand in the center of all of the bowls. Marcus will hand you a knife and you will cut into your hand and sprinkle your blood into the fraction you choose to stay in. What will Tris, the main character of Divergent choose? Read Divergent to find out.

  3. Insurgent • It’s the distant future, and the world we know and love? It’s gone. What’s left of American civilization is centered in the city of Chicago and the people in it are divided into five factions. Each of these groups focuses on a human virtue, a single type of behavior—those in Amity value peace, while those in Dauntless are the brave warriors. Members of Abnegation are selfless, while Candor values brutal honesty, and those in Erudite hold learning and intelligence dear. It’s an interesting setup for a society, but from the beginning of Divergent, the first book in the Divergent trilogy, the reader knows it can’t work. One of the defining characteristics of human beings is that they feel different things at different times. How, then, does this society function?

  4. Allegient • What if your whole world was a lie? What if a single revelation - like a single choice - changed everything? What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected? The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth's #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.
