  2. Standards based report card To the right is a copy of the new standards based report card that your student will be bringing home at the end of each grading period or quarter.

  3. Let’s look at the new report card beginning with the information found on the top. Each report card will show: Your Student’s Name Your Student’s School Your Student Grade Level Your Student’s Teacher Your Student’s Principal

  4. Below the top section of the new standards based report card you will find the Attendance section and the Grade Marks section. First, we will take a closer look at the Attendance section.

  5. Directly below the principal’s name on the report card is the attendance section. The attendance section shows how many times a student has been present, absent, has an excused absence, has an unexcused absence or has been marked tardy during each term or quarter. Student Attendance

  6. To the right of the Attendance section of the report card you will find the Grade Marks section. In this section is the key showing you what each Grade Mark represents. Let’s take a closer look at the Grade Marks section of the report card.

  7. Throughout the school year your student will be assessed according to whether or not they achieved a grade level standard. Each time your student is assessed they will be given a number that represents a Grade Mark. The Grade Marks section to the right describes what each number represents. Grade Marks Grade Level Standards Scores will be placed on your student’s report card throughout the school year. When a specific grade level standard is assessed for a specific subject area during the year, a number will be placed

  8. Special Programs If your student is enrolled in any Special Programs offered by the Wahluke School District those Special Programs will be marked with a + in the Special Programs section.

  9. Characteristics of a successful learner When your student has their Characteristics of a Successful Learner assessed, their grade marks will be listed in this section. + + +

  10. Subject areas: Math When your student has their assessments in Math, you will find their grade marks in this section of the report card. + + +

  11. Subject areas: Writing When your student has their assessments in Writing, you will find their grade marks in this section of the report card. + + +

  12. Subject areas: reading When your student has their assessments in Reading, you will find their grade marks in this section of the report card. + + +
