Threats and Opportunities: A Comprehensive Analysis for Future Growth

This situation analysis examines the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) in the current context. It focuses on timing and identifies the challenges we face as well as the potential for growth. Committees have been formed to assess specific factors, and external perspectives from society, students, families, and policy makers have been taken into account. The analysis includes input from UMass leaders, deans, academic department heads, and governance groups. This comprehensive assessment will help in creating a refreshed campus plan.
