  3. What are our key priorities for 2016-17 • Continue to ensure all year groups receive 2 hours PE and school sport time each week. • Promote extra curricular sport to all children and encourage different groups to partake in the activities. (Large range of EC activities may be taken up by the same pupils each time. Club links have improved, and promotion of these, so children may be taking part in these rather than school activties.) • Encourage and track the number of pupils taking part in school sports (inter-school and clubs) and use this data to target children not taking part. Do this at class teacher level using the pro forma (see next slide). • Provide more opportunities for children in year 3 to take part in inter-school competition. (Plan for this using the competition calendar and with class teacher to ensure that opportunities aren’t missed.) • Increase the number of year 3 pupils taking part in inter-school competition. • Continue the Mini-Leader programme again this year. • Identify gifted and talented pupils throughout the school. • Signpost organisations to develop and extend G&T provision. • Track SEN and Pupil Premium involvement in inter-school and extra-curricular sport. • Conduct a survey to find out if children not involved in extra-curricular sport are involved in sports clubs elsewhere.
