  3. The analyzer • the Alloy Analyzer is a tool for analyzing models written in Alloy • analyses can be classified according to their semantic depth and degree of automation • Alloy is designed for a deep and automatic analysis

  4. The analyzer • ideally the language would be decidable • the compromise is: • the analysis is guaranteed to be sound • if the analysis does not return a model, one cannot conclude that no model exists • the analysis finds models of formulas within a given scope
