  4. Human & Physical Features The human and physical features of Costa Rica can differ but are similar in many ways tothe U.S.A. For example, The birthrate of Costa Rica is 17.8, while the U.S.A.’s is 14.0. However, the population of Costa Rica is 4,327,000, while the population of the U.S.A. is 299,846,000. There are 132 doctors in Costa Rica, while in the U.S.A., there are 250 doctors (per 100,000 pop.).Also, the literacy rate in Costa Rica is 95% and in the U.S.A., the percentageis 86%. Finally, the total area of Costa Rica is only 19,730 sq. miles, andthe total square miles in the U.S.A. is 3,794,083. In conclusion, the human & physical features in Costa Rica are similar, yet different in many ways to the U.S.A.!

  5. Flag First of all, the flag of Costa Rica includes the colors of red, white, and blue. The blue color shows the sky, intellectual thinking, religions, and spiritual desires. The blue color also can mean opportunities andthinking. Also, the color white can mean clear thinking or happiness. Red means the warmth of Costa Rica. In addition, the Costa Rican flag was adopted on November 27, 1906. It was even designed after the ideas of the French Revolution. In conclusion, the flag of Costa Rica is very important to thecountry. FLAG :

  6. Government # The government type of Costa Rica is Democratic Republic. # The Capital is San Jose. # They got their Independence on September 15, 1821. # Their national symbol is a clay - colored robin known as the Yiguirro. # The administration divisions has 7 provinces.

  7. Religion The main religion ofCosta Rica is Christianity. First of all, Christianity has many forms such as Catholic Protestant, and Orthodox. It was founded by Jesus Christ in 30 A.D., Israel. Next, did you know that 2 billion people practiceChristianity? The text that Christians readis known as the Bible, which includes the Old and New Testaments. In conclusion, Costa Rica’s main religion Christianity is very interesting.

  8. Timeline 1) Year : 1502 Christopher Columbus traveled the area, naming it Costa Rica. Disease and resistance by the 10 cal population delay the establishment of a permanent settlement for nearly 60 years. 2) Year : 1540 onwards Costa Rica is part of the Vice. Or, royalty of New Spain. 3) Year : 1808 Coffee is introduced to Costa Rica. This was from Cuba, and became the principal crop. 4) Year : 1823 Costa Rica joins the United Provinces of Central America. This embraces El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. 5) Year : 1823- 38 Costa Rica becomes independent. But in 1938, Costa Rica became FULLY independent. 1) 2) 3) 4) 5)

  9. Animals in Costa Rica Costa Rica is home to many animals. The Anteater, Spider Monkey, and Agouti are some of them. First of all, did you know that the Anteater has no teeth? The animal also walks on its knuckles. Also, Costa Rica is home to the Spider Monkey. The Spider Monkey is one of the most intelligent monkey species in Costa Rica! Sadly, they are also severely endangered in Costa Rica. This is due to habitat loss. Finally, when the Agouti is frightened, the Agouti will erect his long hairs on its rump, thump his hind feet, or run away with high-pitched barks. In conclusion, the Anteater, Spider Monkey, and Agouti are make their home inCosta Rica and very unique.
