TAF: resultant of Lift andDrag. IND FLOW: flow drawn in as the flow induced by the vortex system of the rotor. RES RW: airflow from rotation that is modified by induced flow. ROT RW: airflow created by the rotation of the rotorblades. LIFT: is perpendicular to resultant relative wind. DRAG: is parallel to resultant relative wind and opposite thrust. 1) PROFILE: Frictional resistance of blade passing through the air. 2) INDUCED: drag induced by the production of aerodynamic force. 3) PARASITE: drag incurred from non-lifting components of the aircraft.
