European Qualifications Framework

  • Aims to develop a European-wide workforce that is mobile and flexible and to aid lifelong learning

  • Facilitates moving between countries in Europe

  • Enables comparisons between qualifications in different countries


Qualifications and credit framework in the uk

Qualifications and Credit Framework in the UK

  • Flexible way of recognising and rewarding skills and qualifications

  • All units and qualification will have credit and a level

  • Credit may be at Award, Certificate or Diploma level

  • Will replace Health and Social care National Vocational Qualifications

  • Level 2 is the National minimum standard

  • Levels 2 and 3 are for those who provide direct care or supervise and manage others

  • Level 4 for those who work in senior roles
