  2. CONTENTS My parents life as kids My life Which one is easier and why? Which one is harder and why?
  3. My parents life as kids My parents used to walk to school everyday no matter what the weather was like. They had no laptops / computers, so they had to write everything. Their teachers used to use a blackboard and chalk for most lessons. They used to walk home for lunch and walk all the way back to school. In primary school it was always one gender, but in secondary school it was always mixed. My parents didn’t have the joy of playing an iPod, DS, ipad, Gameboy, Xbox, PlayStation or any other of those electronics.

My parents life as kids part 2 My parents used to play tennis, hockey, gaelic football, rugby and soccer Ice skating was a treat occasionally They went to the cinema to see a movie once or twice a year if they were lucky They had swimming lessons but it was always in an indoor pool They went swimming in the sea in the summer months but it was always freezing cold
  5. My life Unlike my parents we get to school by vehicle. We also have laptops, ipad’s, iPod's, Gameboys, Xbox's, , DS’s and other electronics. Our teachers use white boards that don’t screech. We don’t have to walk back home for lunch because we have school lunches. Our primary and secondary schools are both mixed genders We do a lot of our homework on laptops and search for information on the internet
  6. My life part 2 I go swimming outdoors and go to the beach all the time I go surfing, play golf, soccer and basketball I go to the cinema or watch movies online regularly I go on nice vacations to lots of different countries
  7. Which is easier? My life is easier because we are able to use electronics' to do our work We are able to be more social through the internet We have a lot less stress at school We are able to do a lot more fun things like electronic games, laser tag, go karts and paint ball.
  8. Which is harder? My parents life was harder as they had to do most school things by hand, no computers were available There was no electronic games to entertain them Lots of their sports were indoors due to the cold weather It took them a lot longer to get to places because they had to walk a lot of the time They only had one car in each family
