  4. A = Analysis • Identifies the learning problem • Describes the proposed solution • Creates a timeline • Creates goals and objectives based on: • audience’s needs • existing knowledge

  5. Analysis phase continuation • Also considers: • the learning environment • any constraints • the delivery options From Analysis to Design Phase

  6. D = Design • You assess the learning needs • You create an instructional goal • Create performance objectives based on the goal • Write an assessment for the learning outcomes • Describe learner characteristics • Describe the learning context

  7. Design phase continuation • Create a training module outline • Create a grading rubric • Decide on the instructional tools • Create a training module blueprint 10. Decide on the formative evaluation From Design to Development Phase

  8. D= Development

  9. Development phase continuation • In this phase you : • Generate lesson plans & lesson materials • Develop instruction • Create the media • Add any supporting documents From Development to Implementation Phase

  10. I = Implementation • You have to ensure students’: • understanding of material • mastery of objectives • transfer of knowledge • from the instructional setting to the job

  11. Implementation phase continuation • There are various ways implementing instruction: • Classroom-based • Lab-based • Computer-based From Implementation to Evaluation Phase

  12. E = Evaluation Formative Evaluation Summative evaluation Is where you make judgments about the efficacy of the project at its conclusion. Various ways of collecting the data is through: questionnaires surveys interviews observations testing • Is conducted during the development stage by: • Subject Matter Expert • Peer Evaluation • Small Group Evaluation

  13. Evaluation phase continuation • In the formative evaluation phase you do a summary of your findings. • Did the students achieve expected learning outcomes? • Were there any obstacles or glitches encountered in the module? • Was the data content accurate based on the evaluation of the subject matter expert ?

  14. Summary In conclusion the Addie model is a helpful tool when it comes to the creation of lessons because it forces you to:
