What makes recreation therapeuticSuccessful? • Type of activities (try for at least two) • Physical • Social • Emotional • Cognitive • Spiritual • Sensory Stimulation (try for at least two) • Hear • Touch • Taste • Smell • See • Adapt • To met the physical requirements of a person and/or the activity to coincided with your purpose.

Seeking a career in Therapeutic Recreation • You will need a Therapeutic Recreation Technician (TRT) License • 90 hours of education or 6.0 semesters credit hours in recreation therapy • 125 hours of practicum experience under the supervision of a MTRS (consultant or employee) or a full-time TRS in your employee • Pass a state ethics exam by 75% • Pass a state recreation therapy theory exam by 70% • high school diploma
