  2. Dot the Vowels • Remember the vowels are a, e, i, o, and u. • Put a dot above each vowel or vowel team.

  3. Connect the Vowels • Draw a line to connect the first two vowels or vowel teams. • Continue to connect the vowels.

  4. If this does not make sense, slide over one letter. If two consonants, divide between them. If one consonant, divide after the first vowel. Divide

  5. Read ! • Read the word, using the tricks you know.
