  8. IFAC RESOURCE CENTER PROJECTOutput • Website tailored to PAIB needs: • Search platform (mini Google for PAIBs) • Other community features such as • News section • Hot topics

  9. IFAC RESOURCE CENTER PROJECTRationale • Facilitates communication & sharing of professional knowledge • Fills the gap - no global online centralized resource for PAIBs • Addresses changing knowledge requirements of PAIBs - dynamic solution • Optimum solution given resource constraints

  10. PROJECT PROGRESSPhase 1 – Proof of concept • Phase 1 - January to June 2005 • Limited scope project to test viability – $50k • Comprehensive evaluation by 7 member bodies and IFAC • Successful proof of concept • Approval by IFAC Board July 2005 to continue project

  11. PROJECT PROGRESSCurrent Status • Initiation of Phase 2A – Resolution of Phase 1 issues • Expected completion January 2006 • Report and recommendation to be put to IFAC Board Meeting February 2006
