    2. These pictures represent the story Shotgun Cheatham. In this story Shotgun Cheatham’s dies and Grandma Dowdel puts him in her home for viewing. When he died the reporters were being nosey and were trying to get all the information that he could about Shotgun Cheatham.

    3. These pictures represent the story A Mouse in the Milk. In this story Grandma Dowdel tells Ernie Cowgill that she found a mouse in her milk and then she told him that she didn’t need and dairy products the next day because they were going away. Later Grandma Dowdel caught a mouse and put it in the milk and showed the Cowgill’s that there WAS a mouse in her milk.

    4. These pictures represent the story A One-Woman Crime Wave. In the story A One-Woman Crime Wave Grandma Dowdel and her grandkids go fishing on private property. They go to see their Aunt Puss Chapman. On their way they see deputies drunk and singing.

    5. These pictures represent the story The Day of Judgment. In the story The Day of Judgment Mrs. L. J. Weidenbach ask Grandma Dowdel to make her famous gooseberry pie to put in the county fair. Grandma switched her pie with Rupert’s pie. Rupert won and Grandma was upset.

    6. These pictures represent the story The Phantom Brakeman. In the story The Phantom Brakeman Junior Stubbs and Vandalia Eubanks wanted to get away so Grandma told a story that on a certain night a spirit would come back from the train crash. This night Grandma wore a cape and took a lantern and helped Junior and Vandalia get away on the train.

    7. These pictures represent the story Things with Wings. In the story Things with Wings Grandma finds a stovepipe hat and a quilt and initials them with Abe Lincoln and his wife’s initial’s. She takes them to the church sell and sells them for a good bit of money. Then she goes to the bank and tells them to give Effie her house back and make her pay nothing.

    8. These pictures represents the story Centennial Summer. In the story Centennial Summer this is the last time that her grandkids will visit her together. The town has a parade and they put Uncle Grady in it for the oldest person in the community. On the way home they saw that Grandma Dowdel had put a kitten in their picnic hamper.

    9. These pictures represent the story The Troop Train. In the story the Troop Train Joey is going to basic training to be in the Air Force. On the way to basic training, he is going by Grandma Dowdel’s. He sends her a telegram telling her that he is going by her house on the way. When he goes by her house they wave at each other.
